CHAPTER TWO THE 12: The Vision Made Plain (Episode 3)
In four days
things were getting set for the mission to expose the dream of the children’s
world, summer holiday had just started and Duncan was in South Africa, received and treated like a star by a host of people, he felt like a real star as they
got him prepared for his show which was the next day. Just like Duncan wanted ,the entertainment industry in south Africa was pleased to have him and the fans
he had there came around to take his autograph and snapshots with him, it made
him have more confidence in himself as a rising star.
The twelve had the last meeting with the forty three kids before their
departure to their various destinations. They met them at their school in
Bahamas same hall and Cindy was allowed to address them, she didn’t use a microphone,
she stood in front of them.
“Today we are just forty three………fifty five of us.” she started. The
rest of the twelve sat with the other children. She went on. “But in times to
come there will be millions of us being lifted by God to lift each other up,”
They were excited about what she said. They clapped.
“This is our last meeting in person for now and it will be good if you
all go for this mission with a clear purpose in mind. It is often said a three
folded cord cannot be broken and you are pared in three so unity should be a
natural out come for you all. Bare this in mind, much can be accomplished if we
don’t care who takes the glory. Our company would never have succeeded if they
cared about who gains much popularity. You are going out there as a
three folded cord with same talent, same understanding and same believe. It is
all about making citizens for the kingdom. There are ten most important things
you must keep in mind when going on missions and this was inspired by Maul,”
she unfolded the paper she was holding. “one, be focused, two, make God your
closest friend, three, make up your mind in times of trouble that you will overcome,
four, remind yourself every morning what you are out for, five, think about the
vision and be encouraged, six, think of your fellow friends and try to create
an atmosphere suitable for you and them, seven, always act what the dream says
of you, eight, look at the dream and smile at the end of it, nine think of the
first day you ever thought of that dream and ten, imagine the end.” As she
spoke the children wrote it down. Lindsay stood up and continued. “The holy
spirit will guide if you ask him to. Everything you need is ready, your
parent’s approval, your air tickets and some of you are going by train, your train ticket are ready. You have accommodation and equally someone to pick you up on arrival.
Money will be given to you as allowance for each month and follow your leaders
in each group, us staying behind will always keep in touch and keep you in
prayers.”
“Hmm,” a girl stood up, twenty one year old. “On behalf of us sited
here, I want to thank you twelve for reminding us of our purpose. You have made
us to understand that we can actually live the life of our dreams if we only
believe, reach out for it and equally make it happen for another person. You’ve
done enough,” the twelve smiled and she went on. “This vision is ours and we
are going to run with it with all our hearts, might, strength, ideas and
creativity. This is a vision bigger than us, bigger than our finances, but it
isn’t bigger than our faith in the God who gave us the mind to create and added
a gift to it. With this we can make it through and we will,” when she was done
the children all stood up and clapped including the twelve and the children who
were gifted in singing started this song.
I’m going there, nobody can stop me oh
I’m going there, don’t you want you want to go to
I’m going there, nobody can stop me, and nothing can delay me,
I’m going there, nobody can stop me oh
I’m going there, don’t you want to go to
I’m going there I’m my way I’m going there
They all sang this song together much love, faith and hope built in
them.
Jan was always in
a bad mood since she spoke with the twelve and only Chris could understand her
sudden change of mood. She sat in her office that mid afternoon wheeling the
chair looking at the ceiling. She had nothing on her mind just the gaze on her
eyes. Randy walked in without an invitation and found her in that mood but he
ignored it. He sat.
Randy looked at her and nodded.
“Will you add sickness to your excuse?”
“I wasn’t feeling too well and it’s not an excuse,”
“I noticed you’ve been having some real talks with the twelve and I
believe they have been telling you some things which I need to hear,”
“Don’t be cynical Randy,” she was pissed. “I had one talk with them and
no they didn’t tell me anything which you need to hear,”
“Hey, hey, hey, why are you so pissed?" He asked mildly.
“What exactly do you think they will tell me that you need to hear?”
“You see, there is something Jakes admitted to me. He told me their
lawyer isn’t dead.”
“What!” she exclaimed.
“He escalated to an unknown destination when he sold their talent so
they considered him dead.”
She smiled bitterly and immediately thought of a solution.
“I realized that this whole cooperation is not only about taking Duncan
to the top but it opens a way for me to gain access to their treasure.”
“Which treasure are you talking about?” she came to Randy. “They do have
a treasure but it can’t be touched with physical hands, it can only be felt and
you can only gain access to it if you love and support them.”
Randy glanced at her almost admitting the truth then he said. “How did
you know all this?”
“Oh so you didn’t know their treasure lies within them?”
“Oh no, I didn’t,”
“Okay maybe you thought they had some gold stones hidden somewhere,”
They paused.
“Glad it’s far beyond that if not some people will plot to murder them
and grab it all,”
Randy gave her a stern look and she looked away.
“My pleasure,” he said.
“Hope you did enjoy the few hours you’ve spent here?”
“One of the best places I’ve been to, thank you all for the warm
welcome.”
“We are warm welcoming people,” the second journalist admitted. “Your
fans will love to know more about you. You started off very strong with a
powerful release that got so many people dancing but that was just the height
of you, we expected more but you didn’t give us more. What happened?”
“I was down a bit, got sick and admitted in the hospital for close to
two weeks.”
“Oh sorry,” they told him.
“”Yeah that’s why I didn’t make any more appearances but as soon as I
got back up on my feet, here am I,”
“You showed up huh?”
“I showed up,” he smiled. “My career hasn’t been very successful this
season because of my poor health but am fine now and coming up strong.”
“I love that; you are a great star,”
Duncan felt elated hearing that, he wished he wink at the twelve but he
found his consolation on the fact that they were watching.
“We are definitely expecting great things from you,”
“Definitely, definitely,” He agreed with them.
“You live in the same area with the twelve right?”
“Yes I do,”
“Do you work together, like corporate?”
“Of course, they are my buddies,”
“What do you think about them?”
Duncan suddenly went dump. The twelve could understand the expression on
his face; they smiled silently as they watched.
“The twelve is no doubt one of the fast growing most influential people
in the world,” he quickly answered and wished they won’t ask anymore about the
twelve.
“Do they inspire you?” the first journalist asked.
“Very much,” then he wished the twelve was not watching.
“What do you think about them and their success?”
“Well they are young and their success is alarming and everybody is
happy about how far they have come.”
“Yes we all are.” The second journalist said. “And if you are watching,
we love you twelve,”
“And we love you too Duncan, thanks again for visiting us. We will be right
back with more from Duncan Steech after the break.”
The commercial break was going on and the twelve laughed at the irony
that had be fallen Duncan.
“Poor him,” Ben said. “He is practically shivering right now.”
“And he wish he could spit on the face of that journalist,” Lindsay said
and they laughed again. Their little fun was interrupted by a phone call. Maul
rushed and answered it.
“Hello, twelve residence who am I speaking with please,”
“Moscow,”
“Moscow,” she as her eyes widened, she looked at the others as they
asked her to put the phone on loud speaker.
“Been calling your house for ages, what’s wrong with you kids?”
“Sorry Mr. Moscow,” Michael said as they all listened. “We have just
been too busy,”
“I know what you kids have been up to, I made my research, and you kids
left me with no choice. How do you think you will run this whole dream on your
own?”
“We were waiting for the right time to tell you,” Maul said.
“When is the right time?”
“Sorry Mr. Moscow,” Cindy said. “We are very sorry.”
“Tell me everything ok, put down all the things you need. Tell it to me
right now.”
Gradually they spelled out the dream to Moscow and all their plans. The
camp and its cost, their training ground which will be the sports complex and
their plan to launch the vision in a short while before their missions to back
to Africa. Moscow didn’t give them a promising help but he made them understand
that he was for them all the way.
Randy and Jakes
had finished watching Duncan’s show in the meeting room at Rolex center. They
were sipping coffee.
“Working isn’t it?” Jakes asked looking at the TV as the program rounded
up.
“For the twelve yes,” Randy replied folding his arms.
“It is fortunate for Duncan because he gave the people what they
wanted.”
“Jakes it seem as if you don’t smell it, you didn’t understand the
trap.”
“I know your fear, you are worried about his replies right, but he
didn’t say anything new because what he said is known all over the world.”
“Jakes,” he placed his hands on the table. “The twelve was watching and
you know how fast their minds run,”
“There you go again; the twelve will never believe Duncan even if he
bows before them before the whole world,”
“Okay, it is settled then,” he relaxed himself. “What if their lawyer
shows up and pays what he owes you?”
“That will never happen, stop talking rubbish,” he stood up and walked
out. Randy finished his coffee.
The twelve
decided to visit Rubel Monday morning before going over to see Duncan. When he
saw them in the meeting room, he didn’t sense any trouble but he was pleased to
have them. He sat on a chair opposite to theirs.
“Hey there super stars, I haven’t seen you kids since our return from
Sao Paulo. What has been keeping you busy?”
“Lots of things,” Zed replied.
“I see. Moscow has been banging on me to get to you guys and find out
how you’re faring………”
“He called us,” Shania said. “We spoke to him.”
“What relieve,” he took a deep breath. “How are things going?”
“It’s bad,” Ken was quick to reply. “Bad on our career,”
“So what is your manager and directors up to now?”
“We are forced to transfer our skills, creativity and intelligence to
Duncan,” Lindsay spelled it out. “That’s our secrets to success.”
“God this is serious,” Rubel thought for a while. “I’ll get to Moscow
and we will work something out real quick but for now there’s something I need
you to do for me,”
“What’s that?” Ben asked.
“There are some rock singers here I want you to talk to them. They have
a unity problem,”
“Where are they?” Shelly asked.
“I’ll ask them in.” he stood up and left and in no time he came back
with the four singers.
“I will leave for now,” Rubel said and left.
“Nice meeting you twelve,” Elvis said as they sat.
“This is like a dream come through for me,” Vern said.
“For me too,” Cole added.
“I’m Kurt, my pleasure.” The others looked at him, “weird who asked for
your name?”
The twelve smiled.
“It’s our pleasure too,” Shelly said. “Right twelve”
“Yeah,” they nodded.
“Personally I love your songs,” she said.
“Thank you,” they replied.
“So why are you guys fighting?” Cindy asked and the guys felt
embarrassed.
“I made this group, I started it and I’m the eldest,” Elvis told them.
“I compose most of our songs and do all the arrangements but when we get money
out of our shows or concerts they expect me to have same profit as them, is
that even fair?”
“Don’t listen to him,” Kurt said. “He is a selfish fool,”
“Okay enough,” Maxwell interrupted. “How long have you been having this
quarrel?”
“Since we started making big profits,” Cole replied. “He didn’t have a
problem with us having equal amount of the money till some devil possessed
him.”
The twelve smiled.
“Elvis right,” Larry said pointing at him and he nodded. He went on.
“You don’t have a problem here.”
Elvis felt defended and the others felt slammed.
“If you want a higher share of your money why don’t you go on stage and
do the singing all by yourself?” Larry asked.
This time Elvis felt slammed and the others defended.
“Yeah,” Michael added. “Much can be accomplished if we don’t care who
takes the glory amongst us. True you are the leader of the group but you don’t
have to spell it out to them that their role isn’t important whereas it is as
important as yours,”
Elvis lowered his head.
“I don’t know what’s wrong with us singers honestly,” Maull shook her
head. “we don’t sing because we want fame or money or whatever, name it. Because if that was the essence we are ready to quit the music industry here and now,
you can have our fame if you want. We do this because we bless the heart and
souls of people,”
“It’s is very painful for singers to express what they don’t feel,”
Cindy said. “We sing of freedom, we express freedom on stage and bring many
people into freedom but do you think we are truly free? No,”
The four guys stared at them.
“You guys sing of unity right?” Shelly said. “I know that song very well
and many people find unity amongst them just by listening to you but are you
united?”
The twelve shook their heads for them and the guys looked at each other.
“It’s not about the money or the fame,” Ken said. “Be true to yourselves
and be the first to buy what you produce and enjoy it more than any other
person will. Be of good cheer and try that see how great you will feel towards
each other.”
After Ken had spoken, they knew it was time for them to go.
“We got to go,” Zed said as they stood up. “See you later,” and the
twelve left them, the four boys equally stood up and walked out without saying
a word to each other.

CHAPTER TWO THE 12: The Vision Made Plain (Episode 2)
The twelve were at Rolex center in the meeting room waiting for Duncan
so they could start their meeting. Chris met Duncan in his office and he was
not ready for the meeting.
“You are not ready for your meeting?” Chris asked him.
“I’m not having the meeting,” he replied.
“But the twelve are here and waiting,”
“Tell them to leave,”
His attitude disgust Chris and Randy walked in on them in that mood.
“What’s going on Duncan?” he asked. “Why are you still here?”
“I am not having the meeting,” he repeated the answer and this time he
sounded like someone annoyed him.
“Why?”
“I don’t want to get too close to the twelve anymore, I will be a
successful singer without them. It’s just so improper to sit with them.’
“This has always been your problem Duncan, pride.” Chris finally told
him what he had storing in his mind. “You are just so full of yourself and with
this attitude you are not going anywhere,”
“Is there something you’re not telling me Duncan,” Randy was suspicious.
“What did those kids tell you?”
“Nothing,” Duncan said. “They told me nothing but this whole set up
won’t work, not today, not tomorrow or ever,”
“You better take your proud self out there and grab this opportunity,”
Randy was frank. “You won’t be the one to shut this open door. Let’s go Chris,”
They both left, Duncan didn’t have a choice, he had been ordered by his
manager and had to obey. In few seconds he met the twelve.
“You all are in big trouble,” he said as he walked to his sit.
“I don’t think so,” Zed replied him.
“Oh you should be scared because you have a lot to answer to your
manager. They didn’t like the fact that you shifted our meeting.”
The twelve stared at him.
“Oops sorry I told them,”
“We didn’t expect you to be quiet,” Shania told him.
“So tell me, what are the lessons you prepared for me today?” he was
enjoying his rights over the twelve, rights given to him by the people who had
a say in their lives.
“What are you out for?” Michael asked him.
“I want to know what it takes to be successful in this career,”
“Success comes when you practice what you want,” Michael said and leaned
forward. “Now this is what you want, people inviting you to their shows and
making you their guest artist, you want to be known all over the world as an
influential person. Good dreams but that will not happen if you care less. Your
first ever concert was a mark to identify your fans but you did nothing to
appreciate their support. Since the success won’t come to you first hand why
don’t you go for it?”
“Go for it how?” Duncan asked,
“There are so many TV programs that welcome musicians at all levels
around the world I’m sure.” Michael replied.
“So what are you nailing at?” he asked again.
“All he is trying to say is” maul butt in. “Do research and find out
the TV shows coming up which have to do with music, pick anyone and ask for a
space in the show, tell them you want to visit and I’m sure it will go viral.”
They were making sense and their idea pleased Duncan. He smiled, “I’ll
try that out,”
“Yes,” Jakes barged in on them. “I knew I was going to find you here,”
Jan and Chris walked behind him.
“Where have you all been?” He asked. “The whole yesterday your line was
on voice mail, can you explain that?”
“We are sorry for all the absence Mr. Jakes,” Lindsay replied. “We just
had to visit some people,”
“Some people,” Jakes shouted. “And these people we don’t know I guess,”
“Jakes calm down,” Jan interrupted. “You don’t have to yell at them, you
are being too creepy right now. Just ask them nicely and they will give you the
answer.”
“Okay fine,” Jakes took a deep breath. “I employ you Jan, go ahead and ask them nicely for me,”
“You don’t need to employ me,” she got closer to the table and stood
beside Jakes then she stole a quick glance at the twelve.
“Go ahead,” Jakes encouraged her.
“Okay,” she managed to face the twelve. “Don’t get upset ok, we were
really worried about your whereabouts yesterday and knowing the kind of stars
you are you can’t go wondering about………”
“We were not wondering about,” Ben slowly interrupted.
“Oh…… sorry,” Jan didn’t want to spoil the opportunity given to her to
win the trust of the twelve kids, she wanted to be perfect and Chris understood
her struggle.
“So where did you kids go?” she carefully asked.
“We were investing our time, energy and money in those who need it.” Zed
responded.
“Did you hear that?” Jakes asked and shook his head. “Hopeless,”
“That’s nice,” she ignored Jakes. “Who are those who need it?”
“So many people need it,” Zodiac replied. “We don’t know who precisely.”
“I don’t give a hoot about what you kids are talking about,” Jakes
became arrogant again.
“Jakes, Jakes,” Jan called out to him and he calmed himself down. “Could
you all leave me alone with them, please? Let me handle this.”
“Report back to the studio, we are not done yet.” Jakes told them and walked
out.
“Do you need anything from them?” she asked Duncan.
“I guess our meeting is over, your manager will decide our next
meeting.”
Duncan stood up and left.
“Good luck,” Chris told her and left.
When she was left alone with the twelve, she wiped her forehead and
prayed for courage.
“Formal introduction,” she said. “I am Jan Nopkin and I’m not here to
ruin your life.”
“How do we know that?” Shania asked.
“I won’t defend you like that if I had bad intensions,”
“Defending us might probably be your own operations bring the twelve
down strategy.” Cindy told her. She felt awful knowing that she had lost their
trust already.
“Why will I want to bring you down?” she tearfully asked.
“We don’t know same reason as theirs.” Ken replied.
“I don’t have any reason because I love you twelve so much. I will do
anything to help you guys out here,”
“You will?” Larry asked and they got interested in whatever she had to
say.
“I will,” she sat with them. “Tell me; what are your greatest hopes and
fears?”
“We can’t tell you that,” Shelly replied. “Our hope is what we believe
and no man was ever trapped by the things he hoped for but by what he feared
the most because if your fear is used against you it will destroy you
completely. Sorry Jan, we can’t tell you that,”
“Hmm,” the rest agreed whole heartily.
She stroked her hair behind and nodded. “Yeah I understand you don’t
trust me yet.”
“We know we are in danger here,” Ben said. “And if you really want to
help us tell us why our manager and directors are going contrary to our
contract,”
That was the part she couldn’t talk about. They watched her as many
thoughts came running through her mind and tears welled down her eyes. “I don’t
know,” she stammered those words and the twelve knew she lied.
“Now you see why we can’t trust you but for a few people who will tell
us the truth no matter how it hurts,” Maxwell said. “We can’t tell you our
hopes and fears because you haven’t proven to us that you worth our trust.”
That hurt Jan, she stood up. “It’s ok if can’t right now but I’ll be
here anytime you need me, good luck.” And she walked out cleaning her face.
“Trust,” Michael said. “Who are we going to trust?”
………………………………………………..
“You look excited today,” Randy met Duncan in his dressing room singing
to himself and arranging his hair on the mirror.
“I am excited alright,” Duncan replied and continued singing.
“Why, share the good news.”
“I’ve got a brilliant idea on how to make my career successful.” He did
the final touch on his hair and dropped the brush.
“What’s that?” Randy asked wishing he wouldn’t draw the topic any
further and get straight to the point.
“I will ask to be a guest artist in any TV show I find open any of these
days,”
“Excellent,” Randy smiled. “Your meeting with the twelve finally paid
off,” Randy tapped his back. “Keep it up,” he left him and Duncan wished he
could deny the fact that he didn’t get the idea from the twelve.
Jan strode slowly into her office, she met Chris reading a news paper on
her table.
“What are you doing here?” she asked.
Randy turned to her. She was weak; he could get it from her voice.
“You are weak, too weak for us to talk,”
“That’s what you think or maybe what you see,” she tried to make her
voice stronger. “But I’m ready for anything.”
“I know that you really want those kids to trust you. Jan, it will take
time. You see they understand things we don’t, see things we can’t see. I guess
it’s because of their experience, they accepted the truth about the dead of their
parents at very tender ages, and they want the truth no matter how it hurts.”
He paused. “Jan if you can go for it, fine! I will support you all the way.”
Tears welled down her cheeks and Chris hugged her and comforted her.
Two days after
Duncan had applied for a show in different TV programs, he got a mail from the
brotherhood show in South Africa. It wasn’t what he hoped for but he was happy
about it. He was told that they will host him in the next episode of the show
which was on Saturday. After he had given the news to Randy preparations were
made for his travel. While Duncan was busy with his preparations the twelve
took advantage of the free days they had to plan with the forty three kids they
had gotten from Mr. Molly’s school. They arranged the children in three groups and
together they had fourteen groups of young teenagers ranging from age twenty
one to sixteen with same talents which had to travel to different parts of the
city to start work that will create an awareness of the existence of their
dream. They were called the children’s world ambassadors and the children loved
it. The twelve got Ro and Jo involved after sharing with them the dream and all
that their manager was forcing them to do. Ro and Jo wanted to sue Jakes and
his men but the twelve asked them not to because it was going to bring about great distraction for them not to live the life of their dreams. These two men
helped them in getting minor summer holiday jobs for the children in fourteen
different cities and towns according to what they could handle, some in the
field of journalism like Anastasia Molly and Mark Molly, the principal’s kids.
Those who loved cooking were appointed to restaurant, the singers were
appointed to work in studios, the painters were assigned to an art club and the
list follows. This was to enable the kids learn more while letting the world
know that they also had what it takes to contribute in the healing of their
world and bring global unity and with the influence of the twelve, the kids
were accepted by the heads of the different domains in the different places
they were to be sent and offered accommodations without asking questions. The
twelve in turn asked for permission from all the parents of the children to be sent
and they were granted on the basis that, the twelve were trying to make the
summer more exciting for the kids and people loved them even more for the
efforts they were putting in to reach out to their fellow mates.

CHAPTER TWO THE 12: The Vision Made Plain (Episode one)
“Did you call the twelve?” Jakes asked Leon as he walked into Leon’s
office.
“”I did but I got voice mail response again,”
“What the heck is wrong with these kids?” Jake said, he hit the table
with his right hand and pocket the other one.
“Duncan even called to tell me that they postponed their meeting of
today to tomorrow.”
“Can you trace them?” he asked. “Do you have any idea where they might
have gone to?”
“That will be hard to know Jakes; if there were anywhere official you
would have heard it by now.”
Jakes left Leon; he searched for Ro and Jo hoping they will have an
answer to his question. He found them with Lester in the recording studio.
“Where are they? He asked walking in. clearly seen from their reaction
they didn’t understand his question.
“The twelve, where are they?” he asked again.
“We don’t know where they are,” Ro replied. “Haven’t spoken to them for
two days now,”
Jakes took a deep breath; he wiped his forehead hoping he could wipe off
the frustration the twelve was putting him in.
Meanwhile the
twelve had decided to visit a school in Bahamas, they kept their visit as
secret as possible with the help of Ro and Jo who made available for them a
private Jet and a private car to take care of their movements in Bahamas.
Luckily for them their plan was successful and they got to this college they
had researched on for a purpose. However the principle of the school had
knowledge of their visit and kept it discreet as he was told by the twelve. The
principal Smith Molly waited for them at the school entrance to avoid any wrong
encounter that could blow the alarm of the twelve’s arrival at the school. They
were brought in by an automatic bus and no one could ever dream that bus was
carrying the twelve. The boys found Bahamas beautiful and wished they were
there for a long visit but their purpose was more important to them than the
leisure the city could offer. The bus dropped in front of the school in front
of Smith Molly. The door opened and he was pleased to see the twelve stepping out;
they all had snow caps on for a little disguise.
“Good day twelve,” he humbly greeted with a huge smile on his cheek, he
felt like a divine presence had hit him and he couldn’t control his joy with
the encounter.
“Good day principal,” the twelve replied.
“So honored to meet you all, you are most welcome to my school.”
“Thank you,” they all said.
“Thank you very much for keeping this discreet,” Shelly said.
“I did my best; even my staffs don’t know you are here.”
“Wow I feel normal,” Cindy said and they chuckled.
“Like we explained,” Larry said. “We are here to talk to the students;
we want to pass across a message.”
“I already asked them to assemble at the basket ball cord. They are
waiting for you now though they don’t know the surprise that’s awaiting them.
Common.”
They followed him.
“How many students do you have here,” maul asked.
“About three hundred,” He replied.
“Age groups,” Ken asked.
“Hmm 16 upwards,”
“Great, very nice,” Shania said as they walked into the school.
A small stage was
mounted at the basket ball cord and all the students suspected that the
principal was coming up with one of those his speeches. There was complete
silence as the principal made his way into the pitch without the twelve. His
staffs were present,
“I know you all will be surprised. This is a ghost meeting and you will
love the surprise that’s coming to you.” The principal spoke on the microphone.
“They are group of young people who came all the way to have a chat with you,”
he turned to the door. “Twelve,”
They heard him from outside and gradually walked in. their caps were off
and everybody in the hall recognized them. The students started screaming and
clapping, some felt like fainting, some were screaming with tears dropping from
their eyes. The welcome was extreme and the twelve felt alive and a new and
stronger passion awakened in them.
“We love you all, thank you,” Larry was given the opportunity to talk on
their behalf using the microphone. When he spoke the students could not control
themselves, they screamed hard, the teachers stood as security so the students
would not run to them. The twelve waved.
“Thank you all so much, we love you all so much. Please sit down and
hear us out,” Larry said and the screaming went on for a few more seconds then
it stopped and they all sat down except for the teachers standing on guard who
were equally shocked by their surprise visit.
“Accept greetings from my colleagues,” he said and they waved them. The
screams came again and this time with ‘we love you twelve,”
“We love you back brother’s and sister’s. We are here to see you all,
you see nobody knew we were coming to Bahamas and nobody might ever know
because we came to see you guys for a purpose and I pray you listen to us.
Forget the facts that we are superstars and listen to the message we are here
to give you.”
They were students and they obeyed, the place went grave yard quiet.
“Our main objective for coming here is to let you know that you have a
gift that the world needs. Everybody thinks we are extraordinary beings but we
have the same blood that comes from the same source flowing in our veins as you
all do. The little difference between the twelve and you sitting up there is the
opportunities we have been given and what we did with the opportunities and the
resources God placed inside of us. We didn’t dream to be like the spice because
if we did we won’t have built on our own uniqueness and because Shania was my
favorite amongst them……and of course I love them all like crazy……” that drew a
hearty laugh from the audience and the twelve.
“Just trying to make a point here,” he said when the laughing stopped. “Because
Shania was my favorite I should have copied her entirely from the way she talks
to how she sings, her temperaments and all what she possessed as personality.
We the boys loved them and learnt from them and we built our uniqueness from
all what we learnt from them. We didn’t fake it, we studied even when we were
denied school, we practiced even when we had no formal vocal coach or
teachings, the little money we made from begging and selling fresh fish, we
used to get a gadget in which we downloaded the vocal lessons, downloaded their
shows and learnt from them. It is our uniqueness that truly makes us extra
ordinary.”
There was applause from the crowd.
“there is an extra thing God put inside of you all that makes you very
unique and that is your gift and talent, there is nothing you can measure with
that and that is why we all as young people have to discover and deploy our gifts
and talents. Serve God and humanity with it. We need you all to join hands with
us and together we will make this dream a reality.”
“Let’s create a world where we love our neighbor, share our problems and
try to brush them out, fighting each day to kill our pride when our gifts are
being deployed.” When he was talking the students all closed their eyes and
imagined the dream. He went on. “We should make our hands and feet ready to
serve for the betterment of our world and for our mates on the streets who are
greatly suffering. Though we will face defeat, discouragement and be minimized,
with the love that’s in our heart we will breakthrough because freedom, hope,
patience and courage will be the backbone of our expansion. If you have stood
and looked at our tomorrow, if you see it bright let’s go and fight for it.”
“Yeah, yeah,” the children jumped and shouted accepting it with all
their hearts. The twelve clapped as they watched them buy the vision and made
it theirs. When the shouting’s died down, Larry said. “Thank you, thank you all
very much. This is our vision and to see it accomplished in the lives of other
young people like us, we will need twenty five of you here who are ready to take
this to the ends of the earth, tell it to every child so together we can build
our world.” Then Larry ushered his favorite to the pulpit. She smiled as she
took his place.
“Hello friends, nice seeing you all,” she said and the students shouted
in celebration then they calmed down so she could speak.
“You guys are so wonderful and we can’t wait to start working with you.
It’s a good thing we are just a week and few days to summer holidays. This very
thing you’ve heard here we will equally tell it to other students in other
schools so we need twenty five of you to just come out and we will get some
other students from other schools to join you. We will sit together and make a
plan on how to use this summer holidays to share our dream and start making it
a reality.”
The students were excited, they rushed out in their numbers, and two of
them were the principal’s children a boy and a girl. As they were coming the
twelve clapped for them and so did the rest of the students. The outcome of the
students was more than twenty five and they faced the twelve.
“You are now pillars of this vision, build in you love, patience and
courage.” Shania told them. “Principal and teachers it is time for your
support. If you believe that there is a need for this world to be, encourage
them in whatever way you can because they are about to take a journey that
concerns them.”
The principal told them he will do all he can to see that things work
out fine for them.
“Service is nothing but love in work clothes and that’s what is most
needed in the kingdom of God and if we as children must play our role well in
this world, we must serve. Give your all to gain more of your all, do more than
is required of you and give the extra that will truly make you extra ordinary.”
Shania told and they all agreed nodding their heads.
“Guys,” she turned to her colleagues. “Give them a hug,”
The twelve did it with all their hearts, they hugged every student who
stepped out, some were shedding tears of joy and others could not believe they
were actually that close to the twelve. The rest who stayed back wished they
could close to them as well but the opportunity wasn’t given to them. Cindy
hugged Principal Smith’s daughter and she introduced herself to her as
Anastasia molly. When they were done with that activity the twelve went back
happy and the students could never forget the encounter.
The next day during working hours Moscow decided to call Rubel believing
he had info about the twelve.
“Hello Rubel,” he called.
“Hi Mr. Moscow,” he replied in his office.
“How is work my boy?”
“Work is always in control. I have a case with some rock stars,”
“You are good at solving issues like that,”
“I might need the twelve’s help on this one,”
“Yeah you are always taking me to the point. How are they?”
“I guess they are fine, haven’t heard from them since we parted. Tried
calling them but their line is always on voice mail,”
“Hmm,” Moscow thought for a while. “I will try calling them myself and
see what’s going on.”
“That will be good, better if you will get a positive reply.” He said
and the line went dead. After dropping the call his secretary walked in and
informed him of the arrival of the rock singers. He asked for a few things to
be put together before meeting them.
The twelve was
having a good time in their sitting room while eating popcorn and listening to
their music. It gave them life and reminded them of how far they had come and
never to go back again.
“I thank God so much for how successful our talk with the students
went,” Zodiac said lifting up her hands.
“You can say that again Zodiac,” ken said.
“I checked our mails and principal Molly has sent us all the info of the
kids who stepped out.” Maul said. “And guess what?”
“What?” Shania asked without looking at her.
“They were 43 of them all together,”
“Forty what,” Ben exclaimed reaching out for the popcorn dish.
“Yeah, we have an excess. What do we do about it?” she asked them.
“I think we should work with the forty three this summer” Larry said. “Because
we can’t drop some,”
“Right Larry,” Michael said. “So we won’t have to go to other schools?’
“Well if we split the forty three into groups of three and send them to
different cities, possibly countries they will do a fine job to tell the world
about the vision.”
“And you believe that?” Cindy asked when Larry was done explaining.
“Yeah,” he confidently replied.
“Maul did you check their ages?” Shania asked.
“Yeah I did, there are some minors but majority are of legal age.”
“Perfect,” Shania said clapping. “We won’t have any trouble working with
them and having them travel to other cities.”
“Exactly,” Lindsay said. “And paring them too will be a lot easier,”
“Ken,” Zodiac said. “Did you budget our camp? That’s our priority for
now,”
“Yeah I did……… not that I did a perfect lay down budget, it’s just
estimated.”
“Like something we can tell people who offer to support?” Michael asked.
He nodded.
“Let’s hear it pastor,” Cindy told him and smiled.
“Sixteen billion dollars,”
“Jesus Christ!” maul exclaimed loudly.
“Don’t let that scare you,” Shania told her. “Remember God will
provide.”
“Ok,” she said nodding and they all believed that surely God will
provide.
“Your case is very complicated,” Rubel told the four rock singers in the
meeting room.
“After listening to you, I don’t have much to tell you. State your
names,” he told the,
“Am Elvis the oldest in the group and the admin of the group.”
That introduction wasn’t necessary Rubel thought.
“Am Kurt,”
“Vern,”
“Cole.”
His secretary wrote down their names.
“You claim to be eldest and the founder of the group I guess,” Rubel
said to Elvis.
“Yes I am,” he replied.
“And you three you have a problem with his leadership correct?”
“Yes we do,” Cole replied. “He is partial with the way he shares our
income and we are the ones who do the greater work here,”
“True sir,” Vern nodded.
“True,” Cole agreed.
“I do the greater work,” Elvis defended himself. “I write most of our
songs and lead them too and all you most of the time is back me up,”
“Do you know how hard it is to blend your songs?”
“To blend you,” they all argued and Rubel heard enough.
“Stop it,” he yelled. “Stop arguing here, this an office so respect
yourselves, I think you need to talk to the twelve.”
“And why do you think we need to talk to the twelve?” Elvis asked.
“Because they are team like you and they don’t have your kind of
misunderstanding. They must have a way they live together and united so they
will share their experiences with you. That might help.”
“Okay,” Vern said. “So when do we meet this twelve?” he arrogantly
asked.
“I’ll make a date with them and call you,’
The meeting was over.
