CHAPTER TWO THE 12: The Vision Made Plain (Episode one)

“Did you call the twelve?” Jakes asked Leon as he walked into Leon’s office.

“”I did but I got voice mail response again,”

“What the heck is wrong with these kids?” Jake said, he hit the table with his right hand and pocket the other one.

“Duncan even called to tell me that they postponed their meeting of today to tomorrow.”

“Can you trace them?” he asked. “Do you have any idea where they might have gone to?”

“That will be hard to know Jakes; if there were anywhere official you would have heard it by now.”

Jakes left Leon; he searched for Ro and Jo hoping they will have an answer to his question. He found them with Lester in the recording studio.

“Where are they? He asked walking in. clearly seen from their reaction they didn’t understand his question.

“The twelve, where are they?” he asked again.

“We don’t know where they are,” Ro replied. “Haven’t spoken to them for two days now,”

Jakes took a deep breath; he wiped his forehead hoping he could wipe off the frustration the twelve was putting him in.

Meanwhile the twelve had decided to visit a school in Bahamas, they kept their visit as secret as possible with the help of Ro and Jo who made available for them a private Jet and a private car to take care of their movements in Bahamas. Luckily for them their plan was successful and they got to this college they had researched on for a purpose. However the principle of the school had knowledge of their visit and kept it discreet as he was told by the twelve. The principal Smith Molly waited for them at the school entrance to avoid any wrong encounter that could blow the alarm of the twelve’s arrival at the school. They were brought in by an automatic bus and no one could ever dream that bus was carrying the twelve. The boys found Bahamas beautiful and wished they were there for a long visit but their purpose was more important to them than the leisure the city could offer. The bus dropped in front of the school in front of Smith Molly. The door opened and he was pleased to see the twelve stepping out; they all had snow caps on for a little disguise.

“Good day twelve,” he humbly greeted with a huge smile on his cheek, he felt like a divine presence had hit him and he couldn’t control his joy with the encounter.

“Good day principal,” the twelve replied.

“So honored to meet you all, you are most welcome to my school.”

“Thank you,” they all said.

“Thank you very much for keeping this discreet,” Shelly said.

“I did my best; even my staffs don’t know you are here.”

“Wow I feel normal,” Cindy said and they chuckled.

“Like we explained,” Larry said. “We are here to talk to the students; we want to pass across a message.”

“I already asked them to assemble at the basket ball cord. They are waiting for you now though they don’t know the surprise that’s awaiting them. Common.”

They followed him.

“How many students do you have here,” maul asked.

“About three hundred,” He replied.

“Age groups,” Ken asked.

“Hmm 16 upwards,”

“Great, very nice,” Shania said as they walked into the school.

A small stage was mounted at the basket ball cord and all the students suspected that the principal was coming up with one of those his speeches. There was complete silence as the principal made his way into the pitch without the twelve. His staffs were present,

“I know you all will be surprised. This is a ghost meeting and you will love the surprise that’s coming to you.” The principal spoke on the microphone. “They are group of young people who came all the way to have a chat with you,” he turned to the door. “Twelve,”

They heard him from outside and gradually walked in. their caps were off and everybody in the hall recognized them. The students started screaming and clapping, some felt like fainting, some were screaming with tears dropping from their eyes. The welcome was extreme and the twelve felt alive and a new and stronger passion awakened in them.

“We love you all, thank you,” Larry was given the opportunity to talk on their behalf using the microphone. When he spoke the students could not control themselves, they screamed hard, the teachers stood as security so the students would not run to them. The twelve waved.

“Thank you all so much, we love you all so much. Please sit down and hear us out,” Larry said and the screaming went on for a few more seconds then it stopped and they all sat down except for the teachers standing on guard who were equally shocked by their surprise visit.

“Accept greetings from my colleagues,” he said and they waved them. The screams came again and this time with ‘we love you twelve,”

“We love you back brother’s and sister’s. We are here to see you all, you see nobody knew we were coming to Bahamas and nobody might ever know because we came to see you guys for a purpose and I pray you listen to us. Forget the facts that we are superstars and listen to the message we are here to give you.”

They were students and they obeyed, the place went grave yard quiet.

“Our main objective for coming here is to let you know that you have a gift that the world needs. Everybody thinks we are extraordinary beings but we have the same blood that comes from the same source flowing in our veins as you all do. The little difference between the twelve and you sitting up there is the opportunities we have been given and what we did with the opportunities and the resources God placed inside of us. We didn’t dream to be like the spice because if we did we won’t have built on our own uniqueness and because Shania was my favorite amongst them……and of course I love them all like crazy……” that drew a hearty laugh from the audience and the twelve.

“Just trying to make a point here,” he said when the laughing stopped. “Because Shania was my favorite I should have copied her entirely from the way she talks to how she sings, her temperaments and all what she possessed as personality. We the boys loved them and learnt from them and we built our uniqueness from all what we learnt from them. We didn’t fake it, we studied even when we were denied school, we practiced even when we had no formal vocal coach or teachings, the little money we made from begging and selling fresh fish, we used to get a gadget in which we downloaded the vocal lessons, downloaded their shows and learnt from them. It is our uniqueness that truly makes us extra ordinary.”

There was applause from the crowd.

“there is an extra thing God put inside of you all that makes you very unique and that is your gift and talent, there is nothing you can measure with that and that is why we all as young people have to discover and deploy our gifts and talents. Serve God and humanity with it. We need you all to join hands with us and together we will make this dream a reality.”

“Let’s create a world where we love our neighbor, share our problems and try to brush them out, fighting each day to kill our pride when our gifts are being deployed.” When he was talking the students all closed their eyes and imagined the dream. He went on. “We should make our hands and feet ready to serve for the betterment of our world and for our mates on the streets who are greatly suffering. Though we will face defeat, discouragement and be minimized, with the love that’s in our heart we will breakthrough because freedom, hope, patience and courage will be the backbone of our expansion. If you have stood and looked at our tomorrow, if you see it bright let’s go and fight for it.”

“Yeah, yeah,” the children jumped and shouted accepting it with all their hearts. The twelve clapped as they watched them buy the vision and made it theirs. When the shouting’s died down, Larry said. “Thank you, thank you all very much. This is our vision and to see it accomplished in the lives of other young people like us, we will need twenty five of you here who are ready to take this to the ends of the earth, tell it to every child so together we can build our world.” Then Larry ushered his favorite to the pulpit. She smiled as she took his place.

“Hello friends, nice seeing you all,” she said and the students shouted in celebration then they calmed down so she could speak.

“You guys are so wonderful and we can’t wait to start working with you. It’s a good thing we are just a week and few days to summer holidays. This very thing you’ve heard here we will equally tell it to other students in other schools so we need twenty five of you to just come out and we will get some other students from other schools to join you. We will sit together and make a plan on how to use this summer holidays to share our dream and start making it a reality.”

The students were excited, they rushed out in their numbers, and two of them were the principal’s children a boy and a girl. As they were coming the twelve clapped for them and so did the rest of the students. The outcome of the students was more than twenty five and they faced the twelve.

“You are now pillars of this vision, build in you love, patience and courage.” Shania told them. “Principal and teachers it is time for your support. If you believe that there is a need for this world to be, encourage them in whatever way you can because they are about to take a journey that concerns them.”

The principal told them he will do all he can to see that things work out fine for them.

“Service is nothing but love in work clothes and that’s what is most needed in the kingdom of God and if we as children must play our role well in this world, we must serve. Give your all to gain more of your all, do more than is required of you and give the extra that will truly make you extra ordinary.” Shania told and they all agreed nodding their heads.

“Guys,” she turned to her colleagues. “Give them a hug,”

The twelve did it with all their hearts, they hugged every student who stepped out, some were shedding tears of joy and others could not believe they were actually that close to the twelve. The rest who stayed back wished they could close to them as well but the opportunity wasn’t given to them. Cindy hugged Principal Smith’s daughter and she introduced herself to her as Anastasia molly. When they were done with that activity the twelve went back happy and the students could never forget the encounter.

The next day during working hours Moscow decided to call Rubel believing he had info about the twelve.

“Hello Rubel,” he called.

“Hi Mr. Moscow,” he replied in his office.

“How is work my boy?”

“Work is always in control. I have a case with some rock stars,”

“You are good at solving issues like that,”

“I might need the twelve’s help on this one,”

“Yeah you are always taking me to the point. How are they?”

“I guess they are fine, haven’t heard from them since we parted. Tried calling them but their line is always on voice mail,”

“Hmm,” Moscow thought for a while. “I will try calling them myself and see what’s going on.”

“That will be good, better if you will get a positive reply.” He said and the line went dead. After dropping the call his secretary walked in and informed him of the arrival of the rock singers. He asked for a few things to be put together before meeting them.

The twelve was having a good time in their sitting room while eating popcorn and listening to their music. It gave them life and reminded them of how far they had come and never to go back again.

“I thank God so much for how successful our talk with the students went,” Zodiac said lifting up her hands.

“You can say that again Zodiac,” ken said.

“I checked our mails and principal Molly has sent us all the info of the kids who stepped out.” Maul said. “And guess what?”

“What?” Shania asked without looking at her.

“They were 43 of them all together,”

“Forty what,” Ben exclaimed reaching out for the popcorn dish.

“Yeah, we have an excess. What do we do about it?” she asked them.
“I think we should work with the forty three this summer” Larry said. “Because we can’t drop some,”

“Right Larry,” Michael said. “So we won’t have to go to other schools?’

“Well if we split the forty three into groups of three and send them to different cities, possibly countries they will do a fine job to tell the world about the vision.”

“And you believe that?” Cindy asked when Larry was done explaining.

“Yeah,” he confidently replied.

“Maul did you check their ages?” Shania asked.

“Yeah I did, there are some minors but majority are of legal age.”

“Perfect,” Shania said clapping. “We won’t have any trouble working with them and having them travel to other cities.”

“Exactly,” Lindsay said. “And paring them too will be a lot easier,”

“Ken,” Zodiac said. “Did you budget our camp? That’s our priority for now,”

“Yeah I did……… not that I did a perfect lay down budget, it’s just estimated.”

“Like something we can tell people who offer to support?” Michael asked.

He nodded.

“Let’s hear it pastor,” Cindy told him and smiled.

“Sixteen billion dollars,”

“Jesus Christ!” maul exclaimed loudly.

“Don’t let that scare you,” Shania told her. “Remember God will provide.”

“Ok,” she said nodding and they all believed that surely God will provide.

“Your case is very complicated,” Rubel told the four rock singers in the meeting room.

“After listening to you, I don’t have much to tell you. State your names,” he told the,

“Am Elvis the oldest in the group and the admin of the group.”

That introduction wasn’t necessary Rubel thought.

“Am Kurt,”

“Vern,”
“Cole.”

His secretary wrote down their names.

“You claim to be eldest and the founder of the group I guess,” Rubel said to Elvis.

“Yes I am,” he replied.

“And you three you have a problem with his leadership correct?”

“Yes we do,” Cole replied. “He is partial with the way he shares our income and we are the ones who do the greater work here,”

“True sir,” Vern nodded.

“True,” Cole agreed.

“I do the greater work,” Elvis defended himself. “I write most of our songs and lead them too and all you most of the time is back me up,”

“Do you know how hard it is to blend your songs?”

“To blend you,” they all argued and Rubel heard enough.

“Stop it,” he yelled. “Stop arguing here, this an office so respect yourselves, I think you need to talk to the twelve.”

“And why do you think we need to talk to the twelve?” Elvis asked.

“Because they are team like you and they don’t have your kind of misunderstanding. They must have a way they live together and united so they will share their experiences with you. That might help.”

“Okay,” Vern said. “So when do we meet this twelve?” he arrogantly asked.

“I’ll make a date with them and call you,’

The meeting was over.
